[BAKING] Homemade Cauliflower Crust Mushroom Pizza

People getting more health conscious nowadays. Salad shops, yogurt shops etc are sprouting out almost everywhere in the City.

In the US, people has started replacing their carbohydrates with faux carbohydrates. Cauliflower rice is the perfect introduction to grain alternatives.

Cauliflower has an impressive array of nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other phytochemicals. It is an excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B1, Folate, Pantothenic acid, Dietary fiber,Omega-3 fatty acids and Protein.

Most importantly, a cup of cauliflower is only 35 calories while a cup of white rice is 200 calories.

I decided to use cauliflower rice to replace flour for my pizza crust which turn out super delicious.


Cauliflower Crust Mushroom Pizza


(Pizza Crust)

1 cup of Cauliflower Rice
1/2 cup of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup of Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 egg, Beaten
1 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of grounded basil leaves
1/2 tsp salt


1 1/2 cup of Shiitake Mushroom
1 tsp of Oyster sauce
1/2 tsp of Mushroom flavor seasoning
1 tsp of black pepper
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese


1) To rice the cauliflower, cut florets into chunks and pulse in a food processor until you see rice-like bits.

2) Boil the cauliflower rice for 5 minutes till cook and soft.

3) Drain the cauliflower and squeeze out all the excess water till you get a dry and crumby texture.

4) Preheat oven to 160 degrees.
5)In a medium bowl, combine the cooked cauliflower with 1 egg and the cheeses. Season with black pepper, grounded basil leaves and salt.

6) Combine everything into a dough.

7) Place your “dough” on the parchment paper and pat out a 8″ round. Be sure not to press it too thin as it’s easy to create holes.

8) Bake it at 160 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown.
9) Saute the Shiitake Mushroom with oyster sauce and season with mushroom flavor seasoning and black pepper.

10)Sprinkle some Mozzarella Cheese at the base of the pizza crust before topping it with the saute mushroom and Mozzarella Cheese.

11) Bake at 160 degree for 10 minutes till the cheese melted.
12) Garnish and serve.
