Bangkok Day1 (3Aug12) : Central World

Finally,  the day which I had been looking forward to had arrived.  This will be our first trip as an couple and I really hope we can created lot of sweet memories together.

We headed to Singapore Changi Airport with Vincent’s mum, who was kind enough to us off. After checking in our luggage, we went for our lunch at Aston.

This is  my first time taking Airasia. Overall, I enjoy the whole journey especially with the accompany of my boyfriend.

After the 2hours of flight. We finally touched down in Suvarnabhumi Airport of Bangkok.
We decided to took a cab to the hotel. The ride to the hotel was not very smooth due the the taxi driver who was not very sure about our hotel location.

Thanks to hubby who manged to communicate to the taxi driver in Thai. That is a privilege to have a boyfriend who able to speak in Thai.

The taxi driver was very nice and friendly, he keep apologize to us and gave us almost more then 100 Bht discount on the taxi fare.

Total taxi fare  from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Our Hotel is $440 Bht.

For this 5D4N stay in Bangkok, we will be staying in Siam Swana Hotel. Siam Swana is a newly open boutique hotel in the alley near to Asia Hotel.
Most people will prefer to stay near the shopping area. On our side, we prefer some where on the out skirt of the shopping area where we are able to experience the local life.
I love the location of the hotel as it is 5 minute walking distance to the BTS station. There also a 7-Eleven just directly opposite the hotel.

As we make our way to the lobby from the taxi, the bellboy rushed out and help us with our luggage.
For Siam Sawana, It is a four storey building with no lift. Our room were located at the 2nd level. The bell boy helped us carried our luggage up to the room. They even place the luggage nicely on the shelf.  They also informed us on the services the hotel provide. Both of us was impress with the level of service.

Basically you are enjoying a 4 Star Hotel Service in an 2 Star Hotel.

After settling down,we decided to head to Central World Mall for our dinner.

As we make our way out of the hotel, the bell boy approached us and  ask whether do we know our way to the town. Thank to his help in the direction, we can safetly reach the venue.

The chicken cury rice was nice. I like the soft boil egg that topped on the rice. The curry was more towards the sweet side,It dont really have the curry taste.

The eggs was just nice, not over cooked. The chicken was given generously too. I love the miso soup. It had carrots , radish and taro bits inside instead of tofu and seaweed.
