Time for Shake Shack!! I have been looking forward to them in The Alshaya Food Tour.
Shake Shack had always been listed in the Top must eat fast-food in New York. This reputable fast food chain was also known as the NY Icon.
Every successful restaurant chain started somewhere small. Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. In 2004, the bid was won to open a permanent kiosk in the Park: Shake Shack was born.
This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more.
We visited the outlet at Dubai Mall. Other than Dubai Mall, they have outlets at Jumeriah Beach, Mall of Emirates, Financial Bay as well as Dubai Airport Terminal 3.
After the short food trail I had previously at Taman Sentosa, I had been looking forward to my next food adventure in Johor Bahru.
Cafes had been sprouting out almost everywhere in Johor over these past few years. Singaporean had also starting to move into Johor to do their cafe hopping.

First Stop : The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen
The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen had recently open for business in May 2015. This is the second establishment from the team of Faculty of Caffeine! The founder created the cafe with the ”Bed and Breakfast” concept for people to enjoy good food and lodge while they are in Johor.
You can easily spot The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen from its white washed walls.
I tried making ice cream a few years back with Ice Cream machine. However, I am unable to get the texture and tasted which I like.
The ice cream usually turned out tasting salty due to the salt content that was put in. I gave up making ice cream back then.
Recently, I found this amazing and simple recipe for ice Cream.
It only require you to have 2 simple ingredient, Heavy Cream and Condense Milk. With this Ice Cream base, you can create all the different flavors of ice Cream you desire.
Since we are having the mango season now , I decided to make Mango Ice Cream.
Finally, the day which I had been looking forward to had arrived. This will be our first trip as an couple and I really hope we can created lot of sweet memories together.
We headed to Singapore Changi Airport with Vincent’s mum, who was kind enough to us off. After checking in our luggage, we went for our lunch at Aston.
